Cyclone 'Bola' relief fund raising concert Auckland town hall 22.4.88
In 1988, the East Coast region was devastated by a cyclone named Bola.
Te Reo O Aotearoa organised a fund raising concert in the Auckland Town Hall (given at no charge by the Auckland City Council) calling on Māori Cultural groups and Pacific Islands groups. Dalvanius and Moana Maniapoto sang without fee.
There was approximately fifteen thousand dollars raised.

The relief fund was given to the Mayor of Gisborne, Mr Hink Healey.
The contents of the money bag was poured on to the Mayor's desk.
