WHENUA ! 01/12/96 ( Part 2 of 2 )

Presented by Elma MaUa from the Radio New Zealand Studios, Auckland, on National Radio.

Greetings / prog rundown - promo.

Soon I'll be talking to Ryan Munga of the Ardijah Band who has just returned after five years in Australia.
We'll have Kupu Korikori with Muru Walters
I'll talk to Chairman of the Tainui Trust Board and join Libby on the phone from Vietnam. But first.

Interview : RYAN MUNGA - 'ARDIJAH'(musical sting from Ardijah.)

Music : Ardijah - 'Oh Baby'

Kupu Korikori : A personal opinion from the Rt Rev Bishop Muru Walters who talks this week about sex scandals around the globe from the Royal household to the British parliament and implications…

Music : Sir Howard Morrison - 'Portrait of my Love'

Interview : HAARE PUKE.
The sale of assets by the Cook Islands government prompted the President of the House of Ariki, Pa Ariki, to look to New Zealand for help in their bid to some of their assets. The House of Ariki needs millions of dollars to buy the assets and is now looking at offering Tainui people a partnership in their bid.
On the phone with me now is Chairman of the Tainui Trust Board, Haare Puke.

Music : The New Zealand Māori Chorale - 'Kua eke Mai'

International Māori : LIBBY HAKARAIA.
Whenua's co-host Libby Hakaraia's traveling through South East Asia on an Asia 2000 travel grant. She's already interviewed people and prepared reports especially for Whenua! Libby is on the phone now.
