Interview with Winnie Laban on the review of the Department of Social Welfare's "So'otaga" programme in Auckland. The programme has appointed a worker to help liaise between the department and the Samoan community.

Fraser Folster speaks with Ed Zielinski, manager of the Rarotongan Resort Hotel which is launching a major redevelopment after being in operation for a decade. It is the biggest private employer in the Cook Islands. He talks about the revival of local crafts which the hotel has stimulated by ordering a large amount of craft and artwork for the hotel.
He talks about the hotel's role in training workers for the wider Cook Islands tourism industry. At present about 50 percent of their visitors are from New Zealand, but Australian and North American business is increasing
