- Speech - Ben Pukerua Teunanga ate Whakaero

- The Cook Island Manihiki Community in 1981 decided to hold a special
ceremony in rememberance of the arrival of Christianity to their Island which
was held at the Pacific Island Church in Otara., organised by Ben Ellis.

The first speaker Mr. Ben Pukerua desendant from the Paramount chief Whakaero
of Manuhiki.

second speaker, Papa George Karaponga. (traditional Manihiki chant).
