"Cook Island Songs."
Narrated by Ulric Williams.
An Uapo from the Cook Islands. Our equivalent would be a Hymn or Religious song.
An now an Utei, or traditional chant sung by women of the Matawhero Women's Institute in Rarotonga.
Now a war chant accompanied with Island drums.
A song called "Moanaroa" translates to 'The Long Sea'.
And finally a song about Iro, a chief that lived long ago in the Cook Islands and is sung here by sixteen women sitting on the ground with graceful hand movements.
