We open with the Piripono group from the Cook Islands singing two lively [unidentified] Cook Island chants. ‘E pari rā’ sung by the Wellington Teachers Training College Māori Club.
The Rangitoto Māori Choir sings two songs written by a local composer, Walter Smith. They are ‘Kia ngāwari’ in Māori and ‘Kia ora koe’ in English and then changes into the Māori chant, ‘Taku Patu’ to finish.
