An interview with famed Western Samoan hotelier Aggie Grey. She talks about her hotel in Apia and tourism in Samoa. Recorded in 1977 when Grey was aged 78.

Talks about getting air-conditioning units for the hotel.

Recalls Marvin Blake and word-of-mouth advertising that helped attract American tourists.

She has 98 employees and they can take 230 people. She says that the Samoan people won't take her advice on tourism. She talks about looking after the airlines when they first started flying to Western Samoa.

Talks about her involvement in the community, helping in the hospital, the vegetable garden, women's meetings.

She has a house in Russell in New Zealand.
