Monica Flaherty, daughter of film maker Robert J. Flaherty, talks about her father’s film ‘Moana: A Romance of the Golden Age’ (USA 1926). Talks about why Flaherty got the finance to make the film in Samoa (at the time administered by New Zealand) and the content of the film. She also discusses the assemblage of film and the difficulties encountered putting authentic sound onto film.
