Peter Jackson & Fran Walsh discuss their collaboration on the writing and researching of HEAVENLY CREATURES. They talk about their knowledge of the Parker/Hulme case and their personal perspectives on the 1950’s murder case, the friendship between the two girls and Christchurch society at the time. Jackson discusses the fantasy world of Pauline and Juliet and how he has conveyed this through special effects. Jackson recalls the process of making the film, and the difference between this work and his previous ‘splatter’ films.
