This Hui appears to be in preparation for the 1995 voyage between Tahiti and Hawai’i which included six waka from Hawai’i, Cook Islands and Aotearoa. These waka included Hōkūle’a (Hawai’i), Hawai’iloa (Hawai’i), Makali’i (Hawai’i), Te Au o Tonga (Cook Islands), Takitimu (Cook Islands) and Te Aurere (Aotearoa)
