Freight loaded on to and transported through the countryside by train; shots of Railways workers, trains in motion, an inter-island ferry. All are accompanied by an adaptation of Dimitri Tiomkin’s theme from the television western series, “Rawhide”. Freight is the concern rather than cattle and the words “Rail Freight” replace “Rawhide” in this version, e.g. “Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’/ Keep these wheels a- rollin’/ Right across the country/ Rail Freight”. Concludes with a “No. 1 In Freight” ‘brand’ and the words, “Making New Zealand One Country”.
