Stop motion animation of a man sitting on the road in a driving posture and advancing in this manner. The commercial opens with much sputtering on the audio and ‘driver’ leaving a trail car parts on the road beside him. Voiceover: “Don’t risk undue wear and tear by using the wrong oll. “ Another seated ‘driver’ pulls alongside the first and then speeds off ahead. the camera follows his rapid progress along the road. Voiceover: “Today’s cars - more powerful, hotter running - should be lubricated by the most modern multigrade.” He pulls into a Mobil service opposite a chauffeur and his passenger, both seated. A rack of Mobioil Super containers is seen. Voiceover: “Mobiloil Super keeps ahead of of today’s cars. Every car.” An elderly coupl, seated side by side, pull into the station. The garage attendant checks the oil, pulling the dipstick from between the driver’s shirt buttons. A close-up shows the ‘Full’ line. He gives a thumbus- up. Voiceover: “Less maintenance. Fewer top-ups. SE-rated Mobiloil Super. Trust It.” These last two words onscreen as our motorist roars off.
