An circular ring of light vibrates to the accompaniment of an ambient electronic score.

Artist’s statement: “This work is meant to create an experience, rather than trying to communicate conceptual meaning, or ideas which can be explained or understood. Like meditation, absorption in this work can make one aware of the mind’s processes of perception and cognition. The sound is generated using software which translates images into sound. Once familiar with this software, it is possible to create sound by an intuitive drawing process. The video, in turn, is generated using animation software which uses sound data to create movement. Thus, the sound is created from visual data, and the video from sound data, resulting in a piece in which the sound and video are tightly fused together. This relates to the synaesthetic experience in which sound is “seen” and movement can be “heard”.
