''Million dollar baby
Left to die in Samoa, and refused medical help by New Zealand. But against incredible odds, Baby Miracle is still alive and doing well. Mircle was born with severe deformities. In fact, so severe they thought she was cursed, and something to be feared. But her parents saw things differently. They called her their gift from god, and with the help of a local ministry they raised enough money to take her to America for the surgery that would save her life. Close up caught up with Baby Miracle's family and Kristin Taylor. Kristin's the woman who made it all happen.

DI Harry Quinn
One of the country's top criminal investigators has hung up his hat after 37 years in the job. Detective Inspector Harry Quinn's career has spanned investigations into numerous homicides, complicated frauds, casinos, and just lately, politicians. He says New Zealand's a much safer place than when he started policing in 1970, but has some views on the justice system that may surprise some.
Shihad
Twenty years in a relationship is pretty good by anyone's standards but when that relationship is four guys in a band it's even more impressive not many manage it and even fewer do it with dignity. NZ's very own Shihad has done both. And as far as NZ music goes we can't think of any other band that's done the same. The original line up for 20 continuous years. The boys who met at Wellington College have just released their 7th album - "Beautiful Machine". They're also playing this weekend to a sold out crowd at the homegrown music festival, appropriately enough in their home town of Wellington.'' TVNZ; tvnz.co.nz; 08/05/2008
