Ka takahia te huarahi e Mike King ki te kimi kōrero mo te Tiriti o Waitangi, ko wai mā i haina, ko wai mā kaare i haina.
Mike King takes to the road to discover why some people signed the Treaty of Waitangi and others chose not to.

During his road trip he discovers there is more than one version of the Treaty of Waitangi, there are in fact nine.
The Herald/Bunbury Version of the document was the most travelled. For over two months Major Thomas Bunbury sailed the HMS Herald around the country obtaining signatures. His directions, to complete negotiations in the North Island areas not yet covered and to secure agreement in the South Island. His ports of call were Coromandel Peninsular, Akaroa, Ruapuke Island. Otago Harbour, Guards Bay, Horahorakakahu Island, Kapiti, Mana Isalnd where he collected Te Rauparaha’s mark on June 19, Tukituki River in Hawke’s Bay gathering that of Te Hapuku and back to the Bay of Islands on July 2, 1840.
Herald/Bunbury Version of the treaty is taken to the bottom of the South Island.
