''A look at the makeup of New Zealand’s spiritual landscape. It explores the spirituality of New Zealanders, and considers how spiritual decision-making helps shape our everyday lives. This ten-part series features a diverse group of Kiwis - including a Muslim, Catholic, Mormon, Sikh, Presbyterian, Buddhist, Samoan Congregational, Jew, and Baha’i.

Each programme focuses on one individual, and how he or she makes sense of their life through their spiritual beliefs.

Brent Smith talks to presenter, Chris Nichol about his spiritual and professional journeys which have seen him find a home in both the army and in Islam. Brent discusses what Islam brings to his life today, his discovery the religion - first through his postings in South East Asia and later through his Malaysian wife and her family. In an insightful discussion Brent talks about his reasons for converting to Islam, the framework it provides him when it comes to making moral and ethical decisions, and the difference being a Muslim made during his time serving in Afghanistan.''
