Large crowds gather on Nelson's streets to watch heavily decorated floats taking part in the Nelson Daffodil Parade. The impact of World War One is obvious during this annual event. The floats and organizations taking part in the parade are marshalled by uniformed soldiers, and the streets are lined with soldiers of the local Territorial infantry battalion.

In Trafalgar Square the camera pans to show crowds listening to the official speeches in which the Bishop of Nelson is prominent and at the end of his speech he calls forward a smartly dressed officer in service dress and Sam Browne belt to receive what appears to be a bunch of daffodils?

Further shots include: troops, the brass band, floats and children taking part in the parade.
