RUSSIANS BACK TO OPEN EMBASSY:1954 scenes at Kingston Smith airport, when Vladimir Petrov? sort political asylum in Australia and his wife had decided to leave. Crowds thronged the airport in the hope of changing her mind, however, when the plane reached Darwin she too requested permission to stay. The Petrov? defection was swiftly followed by the withdrawal of Russian diplomats and the closing of their ligation. When once again it was quiet at Mascot, a party of officials,their wives and families returned to reopen the Russian Embassy, following the renewal of diplomatic relations.

Pigmy, lizard men and mud men, who have never been captured on film before. Their ceremonial makeup is the most colourful and unusual in the world. Hundreds of tribes perform their ritual dances during the show.
