The ancient Polynesian culture of the Cook Islands is slowly making changes towards the European way of life. Rarotonga is the centre and largest of the Cook Islands. Shows the cultivation of kūmara and taro - staple foods - and the collection of coconut for copra and daily use. Other aspects of daily life on the Cook Islands include scenes of agriculture, handicrafts, dancing, fishing, boating and sports.
