A Samoan family going about their daily life in Auckland.

Filmed over 3 months, the camera is used in this film as a disinterested observer, documenting the lives of of the family and their Samoan community.

Follows the children during a school day, activities around the home, the young men of the family and their fairly aimless wanderings; and the women at work in a sewing factory; the older men have a few pints at the local while the young men hang out in the streets on a Friday night waiting for something to happen. The men go out to play Saturday rugby and at night the men and women prepare a large feast and decorate a hall while the band warms up for a community dance. A game of netball is played, watched by some nuns from the school, while at home a huge pile of washing and other housework is done.
