“This experimental [test] film utilising moving words uses the same recording of the ‘Chant of Ariel’ extract from ‘The Tempest’ which Len Lye used in his 1935 film also called ‘Full Fathom Five’. In the early 50s he discussed new methods of directing a poetic film with Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, however the death of Thomas put an end to the collaboration” (Jean-Michel Bouhours & Roger Horrocks, Len Lye, Centre Pompidou, 2000,p.246)
