This amateur home movie was originally captured on colour 8mm film and suffered water damage before entering the archive collection.

Footage taken around the waterfront of Avatiu Harbour, Rarotonga. Mostly features different yachts moored in the harbour or at the wharf or sailing plus some larger ships in port or beyond the reef. A cleanup operation of ship wreckage by a beach. A boat out at sea being scuttled. Some local fishermen carrying a net entangled with fish. Men rowing in small dinghies. Two men talking and smoking cigarettes. View from boat looking back to shore.
