This amateur home movie was originally captured on colour Super 8mm film and depicts a variety of activity in and around Avatiu Harbour, Rarotonga from 1969 to 1971.

Footage includes;
Western wharf under construction, October 1969. Launching fishing boat ‘Ravakai’.
Ships at dock including ‘Ai Sokula’ (Suva) and [‘Boomer’] . Earthworks (reclaimed land). Launching Aitutaki barge by crane. Launching ‘Te Avarua’. Blasting, earthworks.
