Oriental Bay, city area, Kilbirnie, Newtown and other city suburbs. Government Building in foreground. Public Trust building opposite on corner of Lambton Quay and Stout Street. Cruise ship moored in harbour, just off the wharf. Tram travels down Lambton Quay. The Government Building is just visible on the left of screen and “the Scoullar Company Ltd Furniture Warehousemen” is written on building opposite. Man crosses street toward NZ Railways Office building. Other pedestrians, trams and cars are directed by a traffic officer in the middle of the street. People catch a tram in busy Courtenay Place. Government Buildings, Lambton Quay. Parliament Buildings, Bowen St. NZ Alliance building in foreground. Along Oriental Parade, boats are moored on the waterfront with boat sheds along beachfront. St Gerards Monastery sits on the hilltop above. People walk in the Botanical Gardens.
