“Rigging: The Rules”.

The country’s riggers are back in the spotlight. Often associated with industrial strife on construction sites, this time a matter of internal organisation is causing concern. The riggers register is a list of riggers ostensibly compiled as a type of employment agency, but it has drawn allegations of questionable legality and infringement of human rights. There have been calls for some time to mount an inquiry into the register, calls frustrated by peoples unwillingness to voice concerns in public. In this report, for the first time, the riggers register is out in the open.

Speakers: Norman Tyree (Former Rigger), John Doran (Captain Riggers Register), Ray Bianchi (Assistant Secretary Northern Labourers Union), Peter Carroll (Auckland Employers Association), Spencer Eru (Rigger), Albert Smith (Bridge Contractor), Peter Brown (Dargaville Mayor), Bill Birch (Opposition Labour Spokesman).

“Inward Bound”.

More and more people want to live in New Zealand for a variety of reasons. Are new migrants buying their way into the country?

Speakers: Stan Rodger (Minister of Immigration), “Harry” (Fiji Indian), Hemant Raniga (Fiji Indian), Ron Moncur (Immigration Consultant), Louis Kong (Business Immigrant), Aaron Nattrass (Immigration Consultant), Aussie Malcolm (Immigration Consultant).

“Hot Wheels”.
