“This riot of colour was a showcase for Lye’s hand painted and stencilled imagery. Imperial Airways provided a budget of £2,500, and the film incorporates Imperial’s Speedbird symbol. Lye spent nine weeks painting the film”. (Roger Horrocks, Headlands Catalogue)
