Combined Unions involved in the Clyde Dam dispute are meeting tonight with employers representatives in Dunedin, prompted by growing animosity between strike breakers and picketers. NZ officials are being blocked about finding out details about the detention of Auckland lawyer Christopher Harder in Fiji. The stock exchange is to enquire into claims of sharp practice which were made in the Hamilton District Court and levelled against brokers. Lindsay Perigo presents the issues of the day in depth. Today a Parliamentary Select Committee was told law is inadequate to deal with the dubious practices that have gained prominence in recent months with regard to corporate fraud.

New Zealand Planning Council has released what it calls the most comprehensive report on the incomes and wealth of New Zealanders, called For Richer Or Poorer. The Race Relations Conciliator Wally Hersch is calling for a public debate on the Race Relations Act passed 17 years ago. Dr Bill Hodge, Law Lecturer and John Kelly, Citizens Assn for Racial Equality are interviewed in the studio.
