It remains calm in New Caledonia tonight following the funeral of the two Kanak independence leaders who were assassinated last week. The French Prime Minister has returned home, but he did take time out while in Noumea to talk to Deputy Prime Minister Geoffrey Palmer about New Zealand’s relationship with France.
