Frame Enlargement from ‘Bodyspeak’ (ref. F9899). The frame is divided in four squares, with two different dancers. The top two squares shows a dancer, waist down, with a red background. The bottom two square shows [Rose Peni, Cook Islands] dancer, looking right frame, with the background showing black and white diagonal patterns.

In the film ‘Bodyspeak’, it shows juxtaposing elaborate dances from different cultures, such as a Samoan ceremonial dance, a drum dance from the Cook Islands, and a Tango, each carrying its ritual significance. The notions of sexual and cultural differences are examined throughout the film.
