A drama set in small town New Zealand in 1950s about a sports match between rival communities of Te Teko and Te Whaiti. A group of Te Teko girls make a bet to see who can snare a man. After the evening dance Keeri meets Lyal, Te Whaiti police sergeant's son, she wins the bet and his heart but how will their families react to their inter racial affair.
