On the 20th May 1992 Prime Minister Jim Bolger refused to release a report he commissioned on the actions of New Zealand's top military and the New Zealand Labour Government under David Lange over the attempted hijack of an Air New Zealand aeroplane at Nadi Airport during the 1987 Fiji coup. Reporter Rob Harley looks back at those events, determining that the report exposes the inability or reluctance of the New Zealand military machine to respond effectively in times of crisis.
