One of the hundreds of patients who have been exposed to Hepatitis B and C and HIV, had a free blood test at Christchurch Hospital today, surgeons at the hospital are angry that they weren't told sooner of the disinfecting problem with the endoscope and there are two separate inquiries into the upset, Health and Disability Commissioner Robyn Stent will look at whether patient rights have been breached while the Ministry of Health will examine processes at the hospital.
