High ranking Fijian Army officer Colonel Jone Baledrokadroka has resigned after being stood down for leading a group of Army officers who wanted Commodore Frank Bainimarama to end a stand-off, and threats of a military coup, with the Fiji civilian Government over proposed legislation which could free earlier coup leader George Speight, Commodore Bainimarama is to meet with Fiji Prime Minister Laisena Qarase on Monday to discuss the stand-off.
