The Cook Islands number 15 islands scattered over 2,000,000 square kilometres of Pacific Ocean. This documentary looks at the work of the newly established Conservation Service in trying to preserve the fragile environment from modern development. Projects include the protection of an uninhabited bird island and the establishment of a bush mountain reserve on Rarotonga where rare plants are still being discovered.
